Mountain Raven

The Tribe

The Mountain Raven Tribe is coming together from students that have completed the basic
teaching.

These teachings are a form of Celtic paganism with its roots in Scotland, it is a tradition that is
part wiccan and part shaman.
It is structured at its base with lots of room for individual
sensitivity and creativity.

We work and celebrate within a circle, however, we keep one foot in the spirt world while doing
so.

The Elements, and some of the Goddesses and Gods are personified as animals.
In the case of the student, there are rituals within the teachings to meet and be empowered with
your element animal.

The Mountain Raven Tribe is culture specific, that is, we work only with Celtic deities. By
embracing one pantheon we find depth rather then breath in our pagan lives.
There is a richness in knowing on whom to call on when we need guidance or help.

We celebrate the eight major Celtic festivals. We honor our ancestors, our spiritual ancestors,
and the land.
We do workings at the full and new moons as needed.

Long-term goals included locating land for a permanent ritual site, and securing a urban location
for circles and teaching.

Tribes or Clans born from these teachings, will develop there own identity based on the
members, thier visions, thier Element animals, and the Celtic deities they embrace within the
structure of the tradition.
A tribe or clan is made up of equals, the leaders are first among equals.
A guest from a sister tribe or clan should be comfortable within a ritual of the host tribe or clan,
finding the structure the same while embracing the creativity and sensitivity of that group.
Twice a year there will be a gathering of the tribes for ritual at Samhain, and Beltain.
At lugnasad there will be a ritual and Tailltean games
there will also be travel to places of natural energy to gather power.
